Awaken, heal, and transform through meditation

Tens of thousands of different meditation methods exist.  The types most people are familiar with are, for example, mantra practice, visualization, and mindfulness.  Each specific form of practice has specific effects on the consciousness, energy body and development of the practitioner.

Meditation techniques can be divided into two categories. In Buddhist terminology, the practice of meditation involves the development of Samadhi (Concentration) and the cultivation of Prajna (Wisdom).  Various traditions take different approaches to the Path.  Some schools emphasize Prajna cultivation from the beginning such as the Zen school, while others initially emphasize Samadhi and the achievement of meditative absorption and attainments akin to the development of concentration.  Many of the ancient contemplative traditions or schools of the East, and some in the West, required strict observances concerning diet and sexual activity.  Some schools and traditions required celibacy, but not entirely for the reasons most would think.  Moral development or virtuous thinking and conduct was also a requisite for serious spiritual cultivation.  

 

Without turning the mind towards God, the Dharma, the Tao and engaging in the purification of thought and conduct, the practitioner will not have tended properly the field of the mind and thereby fail to create the internal conditions for the seeds of Samadhi and fruits of Prajna.

After years of seeking and searching, an effortless wakefulness and dissolution of self occurs.  The path, meditation, and spirituality altogether begin to rapidly change.  Suddenly, without a seeker or sense of self, luminous awareness remains without obstruction.  It becomes clear, a natural state of the body and mind is most suitable for cultivation.  This work and collection of experiences is dedicated to all beings on the path.
